The 7th Academia Sinica Scholarly Monograph Award ceremony was held today in the Faculty Club, Academia Sinica. Awardees were Dr. Tay-sheng Wang, Chair Professor of of National Taiwan University; Dr. Fang-Yi Chiou, Research Fellow, Institute of Political Science, Academia Sinica; Dr. Yuan-Tse Lin, Professor, Department of Philosophy, National Chengchi University; Dr. Jui-te Chang, Adjunct Research Fellow, Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica; Dr. Hung-Yueh Lan, Associate Professor, Graduate Institute for Social Research and Cultural Studies, National Chiao Tung University. The recipients each received a medal and a cash prize of NT$600,000.
This year, a total of 36 applications for the award were received from a wide range of fields. All submissions underwent a stringent review procedure of the highest standard. During the ceremony, the five winners briefly presented their winning monographs. The ceremony was hosted by Vice President Chin-Shing Huang.
